Despite high coverage of pertussis vaccine, B. pertussis has remained endemic and adults are recognized as reservoir for infection among incompletely immunized infants. Between November 15th 2004 and November 14th 2006, 37 general practitioners, attending 56,658 adults, recruited all patients with persistent cough. A diagnosis of pertussis was considered in those with an unexplained cough, lasting 14 or more days and a positive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) IgG anti-Pertussis Toxin (PT). Selenium adsorption on molybdenum surfaces is a relevant process in the production of thin-film solar cells, in particular as far as the formation of the layered compound MoSe${}_{2}$ is concerned. In this paper we investigate the energetics of Se adsorption on the (110) surface of molybdenum using first-principles calculations in the two limiting cases of low and high coverage, and we establish a comparison with the more extensively investigated case of sulfur adsorption at submonolayer coverage. Whereas the recent UN resolution urges governments to accelerate progress towards universal access to affordable and quality health-care services, the Spanish Government, bypassing the parliamentary procedure, enacted a Royal Decree to limit access to free services at the point of delivery for all-undermining the principle of universal coverage. Spanish health and social service budgets have been subjected to large cuts (13,7% in 2012 and 16,2% in 2013) with some regions imposing additional budget cuts.

International audience; The adsorption of cis and trans 2-butenes on Pt(111) has been studied as a function of hydrogen coverage OH by means of calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) with the inclusion of dispersion forces. All hydrogen coverages have been considered, from 0 to 1.00 monolayer (ML). For each case, the di-sigma and pi adsorption geometries of the olefins have been compared at a surface coverage of theta(C4H8) = 0.11 ML. Calculations of the Gibbs free energies of these systems have identified the most stable 2-butene isomer (cis or trans) as a function of coverage, temperature, and pressure.
